“Château La Chenevière” is truly an elegant 18th century Norman manor house demurely submersed in a sea of private sprawling lawns, English-style rose gardens and expansive parkland estate.
This dignified country castle hotel, the epitome of pure French hospitality and luxury with its winding, stately tree-lined drive, is quietly secluded between Omaha Beach, historic site of the D-Day landings of the second world war and the famous town of Bayeux with its renowned tapestry heritage, in particular the medieval masterpiece depiction of the conquest of England by William the Conqueror in the 11th century.
Also nearby, is the picture postcard village of Giverny on the banks of the Seine, a mecca for art lovers, home of the master French impressionist painter Claude Monet, or the glamorous seaside resort of Deauville, with its numerous marinas, casinos, race tracks, golf and polo grounds as well as fine restaurant and bustling night spots, home to many rich and famous personalities.
